  9.           picttoppm - convert a Macintosh PICT file into a portable
  10.           pixmap

  12.      SYNOPSIS
  13.           picttoppm [-verbose] [pictfile]
  14.  
  15.      DESCRIPTION
  16.           Reads a PICT file (version 1 or 2) and outputs a portable
  17.           pixmap.  Useful as the first step in converting a scanned
  18.           image to something that can be displayed on Unix.
  19.  
  20.      OPTIONS
  21.           -v   Turns on verbose mode which prints a a whole bunch of
  22.                information that only picttoppm hackers really care
  23.                about.

  25.      BUGS
  26.           The PICT file format is a general drawing format.  picttoppm
  27.           only supports a small subset of its operations but is still
  28.           very useful for files produced by scanning software.  In
  29.           particular, text added to a scanned image will be silently
  30.           ignored.
